CloudAct.ai Partners with Google Cloud to Deliver GenAI Cost Visibility

SUNNYVALE, Calif. — August 20, 2025 — CloudAct.ai, the unified FinOps platform for cloud, GenAI, and SaaS cost management, today announced a strategic partnership with Google Cloud as part of the Google Cloud Partner Advantage program. The collaboration brings native Vertex AI cost tracking and deep Google Cloud Platform billing integration to CloudAct.ai's enterprise customer base, addressing one of the fastest-growing cost categories in enterprise technology.

The partnership enables CloudAct.ai customers to gain granular visibility into their Google Cloud and Vertex AI spending alongside costs from other cloud providers, GenAI platforms, and SaaS subscriptions — all within a single unified dashboard powered by the FOCUS 1.3 open billing standard.

Partnership Announcement

As enterprises accelerate their adoption of generative AI, the cost of running large language models, fine-tuning workflows, and inference endpoints has become a critical concern for CFOs and engineering leaders alike. Google Cloud's Vertex AI platform powers some of the largest enterprise AI deployments in the world, yet many organizations struggle to attribute and optimize these costs across business units, projects, and models.

CloudAct.ai's integration with Google Cloud addresses this gap by providing automated cost ingestion, real-time analytics, and AI-powered optimization recommendations specifically designed for the complexity of GenAI workloads.

"The GenAI cost challenge is fundamentally different from traditional cloud cost management. You're dealing with per-token pricing, model-specific rate cards, prompt engineering efficiency, and rapidly shifting usage patterns across teams. Our partnership with Google Cloud allows us to deliver the deep, native integration that enterprises need to bring Vertex AI costs under the same governance framework as the rest of their technology stack."

— Arjun Patel, CTO and Co-Founder, CloudAct.ai

Kevin Ichhpurani, Corporate Vice President of Global Ecosystem and Channels at Google Cloud, highlighted the value of the partnership for joint customers.

"As organizations scale their use of Vertex AI and Google Cloud infrastructure, having real-time cost visibility and optimization becomes essential to sustaining innovation. CloudAct.ai's platform complements Google Cloud by giving customers a unified view of their spending across providers and cost categories. We're pleased to welcome them to the Partner Advantage program and look forward to helping our shared customers maximize the value of their cloud investments."

Integration Capabilities

The CloudAct.ai and Google Cloud integration delivers a comprehensive set of capabilities designed for enterprise-scale deployments:

  • Native Vertex AI Cost Dashboards — Real-time visibility into Vertex AI spending broken down by model, endpoint, project, and team, with per-token cost attribution and usage trend analysis across Gemini, PaLM, and custom-trained models.
  • Automated FOCUS 1.3 Conversion — All Google Cloud and Vertex AI billing data is automatically normalized to the FinOps Foundation's FOCUS 1.3 specification, enabling direct comparison with costs from AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, and other providers without manual mapping.
  • Intelligent Budget Alerts — Configurable budget thresholds at the project, department, or organization level with AI-powered forecasting that predicts month-end spending based on current consumption patterns and alerts stakeholders before overruns occur.
  • GCP Billing Export Integration — Direct ingestion from Google Cloud Billing Export to BigQuery, with automated schema detection and incremental data synchronization that processes billions of billing records without manual ETL configuration.
  • Multi-Currency Support — Full support for 20 currencies with daily exchange rate synchronization, ensuring global teams see costs in their local currency while finance teams maintain consolidated views in their reporting currency.
  • Hierarchical Cost Allocation — Map Google Cloud projects and folders to CloudAct.ai's organizational hierarchy for department-level showback and chargeback reporting that aligns with enterprise financial structures.

The integration is available today for all CloudAct.ai customers on Professional and Scale plans, with setup requiring fewer than five minutes through the platform's guided integration wizard.

Customer Impact

Early access customers have already reported significant results from the combined platform:

  • Meridian Financial Group, a mid-market financial services firm, reduced its Vertex AI inference costs by 34% within 60 days by using CloudAct.ai's model-level cost attribution to identify underutilized endpoints and right-size their deployment configuration.
  • NovaTech Solutions, an enterprise SaaS provider with operations across 8 countries, consolidated cost reporting from Google Cloud, AWS, and five GenAI providers into a single CloudAct.ai dashboard, reducing their monthly FinOps reporting cycle from 12 days to under 2 hours.
  • Cascade Health Systems used CloudAct.ai's budget alerting to prevent a projected $180,000 overspend on Vertex AI workloads during a pilot expansion, catching the anomaly within 4 hours of the usage spike.

"Before CloudAct.ai, our Vertex AI costs were essentially a black box. We knew the total, but we couldn't attribute spending to specific teams or projects. Now we have real-time dashboards that show exactly where every dollar goes, and ELSA proactively flags anomalies before they become budget issues. The Google Cloud integration made setup effortless."

— Daniel Torres, VP of Cloud Infrastructure, Meridian Financial Group

CloudAct.ai now supports native integrations with all four major cloud providers — Google Cloud, AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure — along with seven GenAI platforms and a growing catalog of SaaS applications. The company serves customers in 8 countries with presence across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

The Google Cloud partnership follows CloudAct.ai's $12 million Series A funding round closed in June 2025, led by Accel Partners with participation from Battery Ventures. The company plans to announce additional strategic partnerships in Q4 2025.
